FRONTEND DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEAD - FOR IGAMING INDUSTRY LEADERS IN MALTA

Do you have a strong background in frontend development and you have been thinking to step up to a team lead position? Then this is your opportunity!

As a Lead in the Frontend Engineering team, you will build and expand the technology organization by creating and maintaining a cutting-edge tech culture. You are responsible for the deliveries of the tech organization, which you fulfil by supporting, mentoring and coaching the team members.

Requirements:

  • 5 years senior development;
  • Deep understanding of coding best practices for frontend;
  • Deep understanding in one of the following: React, Vue and Next.js and competing frameworks;
  • Understanding of caching, CDN and infrastructure in relation to how customers interact with our site.
  • Strong background in PHP or Node.js
  • Strong background in Front End development
  • Experience with CI/CD and configuration management

Nice to have:

  • AWS experience
  • Linux Server management
  • GitLab CI/CD

In this role you will:

  • Lead the implementation and support of technological solutions;
  • Spread information, such as, architectural and technology decisions as well as best practices and standards between teams and across development centres;
  • Educate and coach teams to drive quality, stability and scalability forward in our applications;
  • Solve technical problems;
  • Make sure that the teams stay up-to-date on technologies and frameworks and be part of technological discussions and decisions with architecture teams;
  • Take ownership of and drive technical excellence initiatives in the team;
  • Identify and mitigate risks;
  • Make sure that the teams stay up-to-date on technologies and frameworks and be part of technological discussions and decisions with architecture teams;

  • Act as a code quality gate keeper and review and update code standards;
  • Implement POCs and pair with technical leads on implementations;
  • Further elaborate and give details to technical solutions;
  • Work with architectural investigations and proposal, setting the architectural decisions in the smaller scale;
  • Coordinate around technical initiatives based on own expertise;
  • High-level estimates for initiatives within own area of expertise;
  • Engage in communications across all relevant departments of the organization.

Salary: up to 60,000 EUR a year I GROSS - negotiable
