​The tourism industry, also known as the travel industry is an exciting industry that continues growing. It is the largest industry and the fastest growing in the world. It is linked to the idea of people travelling to other locations, either domestically or internationally, for leisure, social or business purposes. Examples would include national tourism information companies, local tourist boards, tourism agencies, tourism charities and inspection agencies.

First of all, we have to take into account a growing number of new destinations. People now have access to more locations to visit and spend time in than ever. From a business perspective, that’s a huge factor. It simply means that the number of products has significantly increased, thus catering to the specific needs of more people.

We also have to take into account other verticals. The number of international companies, businesses, meetings, and conferences is increasing. For instance, European business travel accounts for quite a substantial sum, which has also led to travel industry growth.  For instancein Mexico, tourism represents 15.5% of its GDP, followed by Spain, representing 14.3%, and Italy with 13%.

 

When it comes to the job market related to Travel and tourism industry, it is an industry that is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with people, have great relationship building skills and love to explore different cultures. The travel and tourism industry include jobs such as travel agent, guide, travel insurance agent, booking agent, cabin crew and many more. It is a very versatile industry and offers a variety of jobs.
