Embedded Developer for leading Payment Services Company in Malta

Contract type: Full Time 

Location: Mosta, Malta   

Model: Hybrid (3 days from office / 2 days from home) 

Salary Range: €30 000 - 45 000

As a developer, you will be liaising with different parts of the business. You will be dealing with Business Analysts, Project Managers and other internal functions in order to fulfil client requirements. 

Role Overview 

As an Embedded Developer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining first class solutions for tier 1 financial institutions around the world.  

Forming part of a large team of experienced professionals, you will be participating in different areas of the software development life-cycle and specialise in a range of different areas from design, development, maintenance and quality assurance of our products and services.  

Liaising with different parts of the business, you will be dealing with Business Analysts, Project Managers and other internal functions in order to fulfill client requirements. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

•    Participating in the entire application life cycle whilst focusing on coding and debugging; 

•    Building and performing unit tests; 

•    Building reusable code and libraries for future use; 

•    Clearly documenting solutions for all stakeholders; 

•    Optimizing of applications for maximum performance and scalability; 

•    Collaborating with other team members to establish objectives and design functional requirements.  

Requirements 

•    Minimum of 2 years of work experience with: C/C++

• Experience working with PL/SQL;

•    Good knowledge of software development life-cycle processes; 

Nice to have 

•   Good knowledge of NoSQL databases, ideally ScyllaDB and/or Cassandra would be considered an asset; 

•   Good knowledge of programming practices would be considered an asset;
