Hybrid Data Warehouse Developer for leading Telecommunications Company in Nicosia, Cyprus

A leading telecommunications company in Cyprus is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to join its dynamic team. The role is crucial for Developing code in various systems, to facilitate the evolution of our BSS stack, especially related to data migrations and reporting .This position plays a key role in ensuring technical solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable, aligning with the organization's goals.

Your Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and solutions designers, to gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.

· Participate in requirements gathering and analysis, technical design, testing and documentation.

· Develop code in various systems, to facilitate the evolution of our BSS stack, especially related to data migrations and reporting.

· Perform software development, production support and provide overall expertise in the area of the BSS, datawarehouse and reporting applications.

· Use programming languages, software development methods, “best practice” programming techniques and department standards and guides to develop new data warehouse structures and reports and to modify existing ones.

· Analyze and modify the data structures within the data warehouse to adapt and optimize them to the new BSS stack and add enhanced functionality, using tools such as Talend and complex SQL queries, procedures and functions.

· Performance tuning, indexes optimization, and ensuring data integrity.

· Unit test and debug code prior to delivery to users.

Your Profile:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in SQL, creating efficient stored procedures for data retrieval/transformation, ETL, Databases and Data Warehousing.

· Knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle.

· Advanced knowledge and experience in relational databases, SQL.

· Knowledge of NoSQL DBs (MongoDB) will be considered an advantage.

· Experience in ETL development using complex SQL queries or any other tool such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Pentaho PDI (Pentaho Data Integration) or Talend will be considered an advantage.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

· Advanced knowledge of Telco industry data, metrics, and business processes will be considered an advantage.

· Analytical and troubleshooting skills with complex technical subjects and tasks.
