Hybrid Information Security Professional for leading Payments Solutions Provider in Malta

Enthralling opportunity for an experienced Information Security Professional to join a fast growing company on the beautiful Island of Malta. The Client is a publicly listed company that specializes in payment software and processing. They serve major banks, payment service providers, and other financial institutions worldwide. Their transaction processing technology is used by innovative and rapidly growing payment companies across all global regions.

About the Job:

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an information security strategy to safeguard all aspects of the organization's data.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. • Lead and coordinate the operations of the information security system.
  2. • Organize, plan, and execute the information security strategy.
  3. • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments for information security.
  4. • Perform disaster recovery test exercises in line with security policies.
  5. • Perform, review, and schedule penetration testing and vulnerability scans.
  6. • Collaborate with information security assessors.
  7. • Develop and maintain PCI and SSF certifications.
  8. • Participate in designing and documenting new policies, processes, and best practices.
  9. • Ensure that all employees receive up-to-date information security training and actively engage in educational activities to enhance their risk and security awareness.
  10. Assist in monitoring, analyzing, and resolving security alerts and information.
  11. • Support the review of logging and housekeeping functions within the information security team.
  12. • Develop and maintain security documentation.
  13. • Assist with technical code reviews.
  14. • Fulfill any other assigned duties as required.

 

Requirements:

  1. • Hold a bachelor's degree in ICT or possess a specialized security certification (e.g., CISSP).
  2. • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in IT security operations, design, and management.
  3. • Possess knowledge of the latest PCI-DSS, SSF, and ISO 27001 compliance standards.
  4. • Hold a penetration testing certification or have equivalent experience in ethical hacking.
  5. • Have experience liaising with external security auditors.
  6. • Ability to engage with staff, including technical personnel, to provide guidance and enforce compliance with security policies.
  7. • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  8. • Meticulous, methodical, and accurate in task completion.
  9. Customer and business-focused.
  10. • Knowledge of networks and firewall configurations is advantageous.
  11. • Programming or scripting background is a plus.
