Java Developer with DevOps in Geneva, Switzerland

*Hybrid modality (3 days onsite - 2 days remote)

*Solid French skills are required 

About the role

The mission involves supporting the development and operation of Java applications by automating deployment processes and optimizing infrastructure to ensure fast and reliable application delivery, while also contributing to the corrective maintenance of the application environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and continuously improve integration and deployment processes in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve production incidents.
  • Monitor and optimize system and application performance.
  • Conduct technical analyzes required for expected deliveries based on functional analyses.
  • Coordinate the creation of technical deliverables with technical representatives from related projects.
  • Participate in code reviews and, together with the Lead Developer, ensure application quality.
  • Innovatively contribute to building an architecture that meets our needs.
  • Prepare production documentation.

 

Requirements

  • Mandatory skills: Java, Springboot, Kafka, Kubernetes(Open Source K8S) with YAML, Docker, REST services, CI/CD (Bamboo/Gitlab/GitHub)
  • Preferred skills: Maven, Oracle DB, Linux, Debugging skills
  • Degree from EPF/ETS, HES, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in developing and deploying Java technologies (J2EE).
  • Expertise in Java language (Spring Security, Spring Batch, and Spring MVC 3.0, JPA, Hibernate, JSP, JMS).
  • Good knowledge of the Swing framework.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Understanding of REST and associated API design.
  • Good knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle version 10 or higher), transactional systems, and Tomcat.
  • Proficiency in development environments (IntelliJ, SQL Developer, and Oracle Enterprise Manager), as well as JIRA.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management and continuous integration tools (GIT, ANT, Maven, Bamboo, Sonar).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Banking knowledge, particularly in alternative investment, is an advantage.
