The Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Bid Manager with a proven track record in securing new business through technical bid writing for software solutions. The ideal candidate will be results-driven and passionate about contributing to business growth by leading successful public and private tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities by monitoring public and private sector tender portals.
- Develop persuasive and high-quality bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models, and technical responses for software and digital transformation services.
- Lead the full bid lifecycle — from opportunity identification to proposal submission.
- Collaborate with internal teams to interpret technical requirements and communicate business value clearly and convincingly.
- Manage resources and timelines to ensure timely and professional proposal submissions.
- Work with the Chief Sales Officer to craft competitive pricing strategies aligned with profitability targets.
- Ensure full compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate bid review meetings, gather stakeholder feedback, and address concerns effectively.
- Conduct post-bid analysis to incorporate lessons learned and enhance future submissions.
- Continuously improve bid templates, processes, and tools to drive efficiency and quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in bid writing, software sales, or a related role (experience in Malta preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated success managing and winning bids for complex software solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, and contract negotiation.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in content creation and document review.
- Ability to design visually appealing bid documents and presentations.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes and industry-specific requirements is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Salary: 40-45.000 EUR Gross (experience depending)
