About the role:

Our client is currently recruiting for an IP Networks Engineer to join their Networks team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, deployment, support, and ongoing development of the Company’s IP network infrastructure. The role seniority will depend on the candidate’s experience.

Depending on your experience, you will be involved in projects such as IP RAN, FTTH, EVPN-VXLAN, Network Security, IPv6, Fixed Subscriber Management, CPE Management and many more. The role offers exposure to multiple network domains within a large-scale ISP and mobile operator environment, with the opportunity to gradually evolve.

This position is well-suited for an engineer who already has a good networking foundation and is ready to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, deployment, support and dimensioning (hardware and software) of any related Layer 2 and Layer 3 Network in EPIC's Infrastructure. This includes the ISP Backbone Network, the Mobile Network, the FTTH Networks and the Enterprise Network Infrastructure
• Handle Internal and External Customer Support Requests
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot firewall and basic network security solutions under established designs
• Support presales and service delivery activities by contributing to technical solution design and documentation
• Assist with the design, implementation and support of the interconnectivity with other networks elements of the network (e.g. BSC, RNC, MSS, MGW, UGW, MSAN, OLTs BRAS, Servers)
• Assist with network monitoring, performance analysis, and optimization reporting
• Analyse and assess the network impact of planned configuration changes
• Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration records
• Participate in an on-call support rotation for critical incidents

Your Profile:

• Working experience preferably on Huawei or Juniper or Cisco equipment
• Working experience with layer-2 Ethernet technologies
• Working experience with SD-WAN
• Working experience with IP/MPLS architectures as well as technologies and protocols like BGP, RSVP, LDP, OSPF, IS-IS, L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, Segment Routing, Circuit Emulation, QoS/CoS, Traffic Engineering, IPv6 etc)
• Working experience with Dynamic Subscriber Management, RADIUS protocol, PPPoE and DHCP
• Working experience with Firewalls and familiarity with IPsec and VPNs
• Knowledge of Mobile Networks and FTTH Network architectures and communication flows
• FTTH CPE Management (TR-069) and CPE testing
• Good knowledge of Unix or Linux will be considered as an advantage
• Familiarity with Network Monitoring Systems, SNMP agents, statistical monitoring and analysis
• Hardworking, focused, thorough, punctual and self-motivated
• Ability to provide written and verbal presentations on technical topics to corporate peers and management
• Able to work independently or within a team environment, with minimum instruction from management
• Fluent in English
