Senior Systems Administrator for Major Customer Care Company in Barcelona

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and administer both Windows and Linux server platforms
  • Safeguard critical data through efficient storage and backup processes
  • Initiate and implement vulnerability patching to fortify server environments
  • Manage VMware virtualization systems effectively
  • Contribute to the planning, designing, testing, and implementation of varied IT solutions
  • Assume full responsibility for hardware infrastructure, including server hardware and related apparatus
  • Administer Active Directory (AD) environments and manage related services and Azure functionalities
  • Offer instrumental support to the L2 team, acting as a go-between and problem solver

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
  • No less than 5 years of relevant work experience
  • A track record of success in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting both Windows and Linux-based environments
  • Proficiency in Active Directory services including ADFS, DNS, MFA, CA, GPO, and DHCP
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud functionalities
  • Mastery over VMware virtualization techniques
  • Scripting capabilities, particularly in Powershell
  • Comprehensive understanding of Backup Tools and Storage solutions
  • Solid grasp of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP
  • Adept in hardware management, particularly with cabins and servers
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish for seamless communication with multi-regional colleagues and clients

 

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Skill in Veeam Backup solutions
  • Familiarity with Trellix ePO systems
  • Expertise in Netapp and Qnap cabin solutions and fiber connectivity
  • Acquaintance with Endpoint Central systems
  • Experience with monitoring systems such as Nagios and PRTG
